Meet The Coaches
8U, 10U & MS
Ty Tedrick
8U - Head Coach
Coach Ty just finished coaching the Nighthawks Learn To Play Program this year and will be coaching the 8U mites team next season. In addition to coaching hockey Coach Ty has experience with coaching baseball, basketball, football and is an elementary school PE teacher in the Colonial School District. He has two children involved with the Nighthawks and outside of coaching Coach Ty is an avid Philadelphia sports fan and enjoys playing pickup basketball. Coach Ty is committed not only to teaching his players the fundamentals of hockey but also believes in stressing the importance of teamwork, work ethic, and sportsmanship.
Rob Powley
8U - Assistant Coach
Hockey is Robs passion. He grew up playing whether it was deck, roller or ice. His son, Brody, found interest and this drove him to lean into the coaching aspect. He was an assistant coach this past season for the 8U LTP program. He quickly realized how fun and educational coaching was. Hockey is a sport that can shape a community, and he looks forward to continuing support for the Nighthawks. On the weekend he still finds time to play roller with guys he has known for years.

Scott Anderson
10U - Head Coach
Scott has played hockey in Delaware for 30 years. He has been a youth sports coach for 10+ years for his children ages 20, 17, and 9. He previously coached hockey for European Hockey Connection. He is consistently looking for new skills and techniques for today's players. His practices are focused around skill development and game scenarios.
Kevin Wise
10U - Assistant Coach & Hockey Director​
Kevin Started coaching in 2023, leading our 8U Mites Learn-To-Play program. The LTP program emphasized skill building through games to create a fun environment for players to grow their skills.

Kevin brings a deep and varied hockey experience to coaching. He played in the DVHL, captaining both his 18U and high school teams. He continued playing through college on Widner Universities club team and in various local adult leagues. He also officiated at a high level for over 15 years, including USA Hockey Tier 1 National Tournaments.
