14U, 16U & 18U

Jarod Champeaux
14U - Head Coach
Jarod previously served as the 12U and Under Hockey Director for the Nighthawks. Last season he coached the 12U A American team to the championship game where the unfortunately fell short.

Jarod grew up playing hockey in northern Minnesota and played through high school - which is considered one of Minnesota's highest level of achievement. Jarod has been coaching youth hockey since he was in his early 20s and has been with the Nighthawks since 2019. Prior to joining the Nighthawks, he coached with the Jr Blue Hens and in his hometown of Duluth with the Portman Bruins through the Duluth Amateur Hockey Association.
Mike Lindenberg
14U - Assistant Coach
Mike started his hockey journey at the age of 12 playing for The Wilmington Wheels. He later moved to play for The Little Flyers when he was 14 and also for the Newark Stars in the Delaware High School League where they won the Championship. After high school, Mike continued playing hockey for West Chester University. When Mike graduated from College he played for The New Castle County Mens adult league as well The Wilmington Mens adult League. In addition to playing, Mike also was a referee for several years.
When Mikes son developed the same love for hockey he made the choice to start coaching and this will be his 5th year coaching for the Wilmington Nighthawks.

Griffin Helm
16U - Head Coach & Org. President
Griffin previously served as the DVHL Rep, Vice President & 14U and Up Hockey Director. He has only been with the program three years and previously served as the MS Coach in Charge, 14U B & 14U A National Head Coach.

Griffin grew up in Lancaster, PA being the youngest of five with three older brothers, two of which played hockey. He stared playing roller hockey at 10 and switched to Ice Hockey in his final year as a 12U. He would play 18U for his entire youth hockey career. He played for the Lancaster Firebirds, Central Penn Panthers, Hempfield High School & York Devils. He would eventually go on to coach his old Highschool team for two seasons before transitioning into playing again for Millersville Universities D2 ACHA team. The following season they would add a D3 CHF team that he would serve as the Captain and Treasurer for. He has no children in the organization, just a passion for coaching and developing athletes.


Alex Manoogian & Max Shah
16U - Offense Coach & Special Teams

Alex will be returning to the Nighthawks bench for his third season. Originally from Massachusetts, he played for Newton Youth Hockey both travel and house league as well as for Newton North Tigers high school. His son Max has been with the Nighthawks for three years.
Max will be helping out for his second season. He currently plays for the Nighthawks 18AA team that won the DVHL championship, AAHA Districts and went to the USA Hockey National Tournament.
Jeff Stott
16U - Defense Coach
Jeff is joining the Nighthawks bench for the first time this upcoming season. His son, Jake, has played for them the past two seasons. His older son, Nolan, plays for Garnet Valley & Team Philadelphia.

Jeff brings a wide variety of hockey knowledge to the bench having been around hockey for over 35 years. After his youth hockey career, he made a short run at the semi-professional level. He has coached multiple teams at the mite, squirt, peewee and bantam levels.



Nick Blue
18AA - Head Coach
Nick will be returning for his second season with the Nighthawks. He has coached AA level hockey for years, originally starting with the Delaware Ducks. His 16AA team won the DVHL Championship and advanced to Nationals this season. He brings a wealth of hockey knowledge behind the bench.
Dan Gutowski
18AA - Assistant Coach
Dan has spent several years coaching with Nick on various teams. His oldest son plays for Salesianum as well as for our 16AA team and his youngest players AA for the Delaware Ducks.
